Roebling Point - Covington, Kentucky

Roebling Point is an upscale neighborhood in a Covington, Kentucky historic district. Roebling Point is located on the banks of the Ohio River at the base of the Roebling Suspension Bridge. The area boasts upscale living, great restaurants and bars, walkable riverfront options as well as a walkable scenic view to Cincinnati, Ohio. The location is perfect for visitors because they can stay in Kentucky and have a view of the Cincinnati skyline all while being in walking distance to Great American Ballpark, The Banks entertainment district, or Paycor Stadium.

In certain ways, a snapshot of life during 1871 is not so different from today. The area around the Roebling Suspension Bridge was and still is a bustling area of commerce. The bridge connects Cincinnat, Ohio  and Covington, Kentucky allowing access to the south. Covington's motto is "Gateway to the South. 

In many ways life was drastically different and the Roebling Suspension Bridge was a catalyst for change.

Roebling Point as we know it today was created when the layout for the Roebling Suspension Bridge was designed. The City of Covington has developed a park, riverwalk, and luxury condos at the base of the bridge.  

Roebling Point - Now

Through the years the area we know as Roebling Point has undergone numerous changes and minor purposes. Today, it is a vibrant attraction that offers scenic views, amenities, upscale living, quaint bookstores and coffee shops.

The area of Roebling Point in Covington, KY today is a place of scenic beauty, history, and life.

One can sit and watch the Ohio River flow, the Cincinnati Skyline, riverboats float past or just enjoy a cup of coffee from one of the areas vibrant coffee shops or bookstores.

Who was John Roebling?

John Roebling was a German-American civil engineer and architect. Roebling is best known for designing and building the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City, which was completed in 1883 and remains one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. Roebling's design for the Brooklyn Bridge incorporated numerous innovative features and helped to usher in a new era of bridge building but his design started in Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati, Ohio.  Learn more...
